This week, we continue to study the final portion of the Three Angels’ Messages, with an episode that could almost serve as a continuation of last week’s episode. We talked about the “beast” powers, how to identify them, and began to discuss something mentioned in the Bible called “The Mark of the Beast.” What is the “mark?” Who has it currently (if anyone)? If you’ve ever read this portion of scripture and been confused by the mysterious and sometimes symbolic language, you’re not alone! Join Pastor Chad and Dr. Frank Hasel as we look at what the Bible says about those who carry the mark of the beast, and what we need to know to avoid receiving the mark.

A Note from the Producer:
This episode, just like last week’s episode, has the potential to be a bit more divisive than the others we’ve published. Please know that, as we’ve said previously, what we’re saying does not come from a place of condemnation. If you have questions about what’s covered in this episode—even if you vehemently disagree with our conclusions—please let us know in the comments. We want to make sure that everyone feels heard, and that those with questions have an opportunity to get their questions answered. We appreciate your watching and spending time with us, and we look forward to doing it again next week!

About the Biblical Perspectives Video Series:
When we set out to create this video series, it was to bring our audience into a conversation on relevant topics between a pastor and a theologian. However, in addition to having them offer personal opinions, we challenged them to share what the Bible says about this quarter’s topic. This topic for the second quarter of 2023 is the Three Angels’ messages from Revelation 14. Seventh-day Adventists have a “high” view of scripture, holding it to be a revelation from God, written by men, but invaluable as a resource for learning to know God and His plan for our lives more fully.
