Chef Stefan Heilemann is the head chef at restaurant Widder in Zürich, Switzerland. Heilemann has worked with legendary chef Harald Wohlfahrt at world renowned three Michelin starred restaurant Schwarzwaldstube at Traube Tonbach in Baiersbronn, Germany before moving to Switzerland. In Ascona he joined chef Rolf Fliegauf at two Michelin starred Ecco and after a few years moved to Zürich where he was in the charge of the kitchen at the third Ecco branch, which was housed in the newly reopened and legendary city hotel Atlantis by Giardino Hotel until its closure. After that chef and his whole team moved on to take the helms at Widder restaurant in the historic old town of Zürich, right next to the world famous Bahnhofstrasse. At restaurant Widder he continued on his successful path, currently holding two Michelin stars as well as 18 GaultMillau points. Additionally Widder restaurant is part of La Liste's 1000 best restaurants in the world, currently sitting at 462. Furthermore Widder is on The World's 50 Best Restaurants Dicovery list. Chef Heilemann was also named Chef of the Year by GaultMillau in 2021. The restaurant is housed in the hotel of the same name, Widder hotel, a 5-star boutique hotel in the heart of Zurich.
