Quality of video is dark. Original film was discarded.However it was also filmed in the shadows to avoid direct sun but then recorded at times facing the sun which created silhouettes of those in the picture.
This is now 5th generation!
First generation: Original film-gone!
Second: (Fair quality) transfer to VHS in the 80's. Colors are out of sync, whites are purple. Excess grain noise. Much of it is too dark due to a transfer that didn't yield the best results.
Third: Archiving/converting analog files of the VHS tape to digital.
Fourth: Editing video.
Fifth: Upload to youtube.
