The Astro a50 is a very expensive gaming headset and is built for one thing only - Gaming!
Although that may be a good thing, it also means that consuming regular content takes a back seat. The audio from Music and Video isn't necessarily bad, it isn't what I would expect when paying this amount of money.
Gaming however - Outstanding - the directional audio is superb in comparison to headsets around the $150 mark with only the steeleseries Arctis Pro standing up to it in this bracket.
In the astro a50 mic test I found that although the input settings couldn't be changed in the astro command centre, the "out of the box" setup was pretty good but not superb.

for what it is - the astro a50 gen 4 wireless gaming headset is fantastic and if you have the money it's a definite recommend from me
