Sole’s F85 treadmill offers a unique combination of power, stability, and convenience. With a heavy-duty frame capable of handling up to 400 pounds, it is surprising that it is foldable.
A large running surface gives you more than sufficient room for long strides and comfortable elbow movement. Cushioning is provided through a quiet Cushion Flex Deck which is an important inclusion for users recovering from injuries. This system also helps with noise reduction so you can use the treadmill in a small apartment.
Features
Frame Design
The F85 treadmill is built with a heavy duty frame which can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. With an assembled weight of 300 pounds, it is stable enough to avoid wobbling even during high speed runs with heavier users.
A strong frame also means it can handle regular, intense workouts for years.
Folding frame
It was a surprise to find the F85 is foldable considering it is a fairly beefy machine. With this feature, you can cut its footprint by about half, therefore saving on storage space.
Running Surface and Deck
The general standard for a running treadmill stands at about 20 x 60 inches. This model gives you a little more than the standard with a running surface measuring 22 x 60 inches. An extra 2 inches may not seem like much but it makes a difference in terms of wiggle room. A slight sway won’t put you at risk of falling off the track.
Sole also includes its sophisticated Cushion Flex Whisper Deck which helps with shock absorption and noise reduction. The company claims it reduces impacts on joints by about to 40% compared to outdoor running.
Motor
A powerful 4.0 CHP motor is behind the machine’s ability to handle heavier users and a maximum speed of 12 miles per hour. It ably manages 15 levels of power incline without strain.
The motor works alongside 2.7-inch rollers which help ensure the belt moves quietly and smoothly. These are comparatively large rollers which provide more surface contact with the belt, therefore reducing stress and prolonging lifespans of both the belt and rollers.
