From Timaclub16. Performed in Rome, 1952, this recital performance featured an amazingly diverse set list, starting with the opening arias from Macbeth, Nabucco, the mad scene from Lucia, capping off with this stunning bel canto masterpiece.
I've heard this on EMI, BJR and now Timaclub and I believe this Timaclub pressing to be superior. The sound here is more full, which is particularly evident in the orchestra and top notes are more crisp and rounded. If that makes sense to anyone :)
The last photo was taken in 1952, it's a beautiful portrait, i had never seen it before today. Her hair is so luxurious!
