Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, legenda polskiego jazzu, wybitny saksofonista, kompozytor, aranżer, dyrygent, lider, pedagog, a także ceniony publicysta i dziennikarz muzyczny. Od blisko 70. lat współtworzy historię polskiego jazzu.
Zadebiutował w 1956 roku w formacji Krzysztofa Komedy. Działał w takich rodzimych, pionierskich formacjach jazzowych, jak m.in. Jazz Believers (1958-1959), Kwintet Andrzeja Kurylewicza (1960-1961), Polish Jazz Quartet (1963-1966). W latach 1968-78 kierował Studiem Jazzowym Polskiego Radia. Cały czas koncertuje z autorskim projektem Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski Quartet, który powstał w połowie lat dziewięćdziesiątych. Ma na koncie niezliczoną ilość koncertów, nagrań, udziałów w festiwalach. Ostatnie płyty nagrane w kwartecie to „Real Jazz” (2005), „Supercalifragilistic” (2007) – obie wydane przez BCD Records – oraz „On the road vol. 1” (2022) wydana przez Fortune.
