Constructed in 1933, the winding Iron Mountain Road between the Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Custer State Park is an incredible 17 mile journey through the Black Hills.
Specifically designed with a tremendous amount of curves (314 in total!) to slow travellers down and encourage them to enjoy the drive, you'll also encounter 14 switchbacks, three pigtail bridges and three tunnels that frame those famous four presidential faces.
