The essential part of the Mesolithic and Neolithic hunters toolkit.
These arrows have been in use for many thousands of years and across several prehistoric cultures. In Scandinavia the transversal arrowhead were the main type of the Mesolithic Ertebølle culture and the Neolithic Trunk beaker period. It was crafted by these hunters and warriors during several millennia’s. The arrowhead itself is fairly easy to produce yet very effective and lethal. It is not the stone point that is difficult to craft. The arrow present the largest challenge to construct. Watch as we try to recreate the past.
