In this video we show you how we built a twin tip kiteboard with a divinycell foam core and carbon fiber skins.
This is a follow on to our kiteboard building series that can be found here [ Ссылка ]
There are some things that are different about this board from the one we built in the original series:
- The core on this one is divinycell H-80 foam core, which is much lighter than the poplar wood core. [ Ссылка ]
- Because the Divinycell does not have the same compression properties as wood we added poured inserts around the foot strap and handle inserts.
-On the original board we used a urethane resin to cast the rails and inserts, on this board we used a pigmented epoxy.
- The laminate for this board was built using resin infusion on a glass plate, just like the skins for the original board, the laminate stack we changed from 19oz Triax eglass with vector net to 6oz Carbon wide tow fabric and 6oz S glass.
