Carrying on from the previous session, in this episode you will look at strength and the role it plays when exercising with arthritis. Leon will teach you how you can build strength in the upper body which will help you improve your flexibility and mobility as well as help you gain bone density. You will learn how, improving these aspects, will help you with activities such as pulling, pushing, reaching and lifting.
Items to bring along: for floor-based exercises use a mat and if needed use towels to support your head and spine when laying down. For some of the resistance exercises bring along some household items such as tins or small water bottles. A chair will also be helpful for this session.
