Many older shotguns have chambers that are too short for modern ammunition. In this video, Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, will lengthen the chamber on an antique Parker Brothers twelve gauge from 2 ½ inches to 2 ¾ inches. Using a piloted PTG chamber reamer and a generous amount of cutting oil, the reamer is inserted into the barrel with the extractor in place. The reamer is then turned clockwise, cleaning regularly, until the shoulder of the reamer just touches the rim recess.
