Dorchester History Walk 1 │People, places and locations
In this my first history video from Dorchester in Dorset I explore some of the locations and places in the Dorset town of Dorchester, taking a look at the various notorious sites located around the town where people died. I also talk about a few of the condemed, some of which were more interesting than others! I take a look at the Maumbury Ring, Gallows Hill and Dorchester Prison. Along the way, I’ll discover a few more places including the grave of Sir Frederick Treaves, a former brewery, Dorchester’s war memorial, a plaque to a V.C winner, a Penfold postal box, a haunted street and a giant deck chair! There is just so much history in the town of Dorchester. This is the first of my three Dorchester History Walk videos featuring people, places and locations in the town.
