After Complex Con I was going to spend just a week in LA it slowly led to probably 3 weeks in LA. I was brainstorming for a photoshoot, "What is the most LA visual?"I spent a day calling everyone I know to get low riders. Then I thought what would be cool to see in low riders: Old people. I casted a group of old people for a Sunday, which happened to be a huge low rider convention so they couldn't show up. So i was a little nervous how the whole thing was going to end up. The older people came right on time, at first they were shy and quiet they did not know what they were getting into. By the end they were all laughing, dancing, exchanging each other's numbers. They said it was the best shoot they had ever been on. What a beautiful moment: THERE IS KIDSUPER IN EVERYONE!
Later I asked if they could give some advice to the younger generations:
"Don't worry about what other people may think about you. Live your life, play your game, be kind to others and dance your dance." - James E Clark
"Don't hold back. Experience all you can!!!" - Billie Bradford
"Life is like a photograph... You develop from the negatives" - Keith Wheeler
"No matter how old, we all are young at heart" - Cynthia Moore
"Go for your dream and persevere" - John Flaxman
“Live with abandon. Love unconditionally. Intend no harm.” - Donald Pitts
