Zaanse Schans is the cutest Dutch village and a perfect day trip from Amsterdam! It's very photogenic and also you'll learn a lot about Dutch history and culture too. Definitely recommend it and it is only a short train ride away.

Tip if you're on a budget: I followed the recommendations of Tassie Devil Abroad's excellent blog post on how to visit Zaanse Schans on a budget :) It's totally possible to visit the place without spending very much money at all. [ Ссылка ]
