Back when I did the Paul Gilbert guitar Camp. I let Andy Timmons play my telecaster, and he totally handed me my ass on a platter! Sit and listen to a master! Forgive me for all of us going crazy while listening!
I'm pretty sure one of the guys really whooping it up while Andy played was Mike Keneally, who was also hanging out in the room with us.
Looks like I need to add - the room "curriculum" was for us to take turns playing leads over tracks. The instructor was hoping for us to verbally encourage each other while we were playing. We had no idea Andy would come in, so when he sat down with my guitar, everyone was still in that mindset of "encouraging" the performance. This was a low volume room to showcase your playing to peers. You can hear people simply chatting over the volume of the music.
Due to the fact that certain YouTube viewers can't watch this for what it is, and feel the need to leave nasty comments, I've changed the settings for commenting. You're more than welcome to pay the entry fee to go to one of these events if you feel that strongly about how the folks in my video were responding. Sorry to those of you who can watch it and appreciate the playing.
Edited to add - Andy is playing my Crook custom telecaster, and he's using one of the house Boss Katana amps that the camp supplied for all of us. No external pedals!
