Aerobic (oxic) process, It is a biological treatment process that occurs in the presence of oxygen. the species of bacteria which require oxygen for their basic survival, growth and the process of reproduction are called aerobic bacteria or aerobes.
Type of Aerobic processes;
1. Suspended growth process,
2. Attached growth process and
3. Hybrid or combined suspended attached growth process.

where activated sludge process, aerated lagoons, and aerobic digestion trickling filter, rotating biological contactor, packed bed reactor (like MBBR or FBR) comes in the aerobic process.
