India and Russia signed the Kalashnikov deal during the meeting between Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu and Defence Minister. India signs a 10 year military technical cooperation agreement with Russia. This is the fourth time that this agreement will be in place till 2031. After the deal is inked, at least 6 lakh assault rifles by Kalashnikov will be manufactured in India. The agreement is signed after two years of negotiation. The deal is important because it will transfer the technological material between the two countries. Later today, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting the Russian President Vladimir Putin. This meeting is expected to bring in further updates. Watch the video to know more.
