🎬 ON TODAY'S MANUAL: This will start this newer series on my channel, exploring fuzzes for shoegaze/alt rock/indie, I don't really intend to talk on these videos. One of my very first fuzz pedals, this is an odd one - that is, in the best way possible. This mysterious fuzz pedal was made by Ibanez in the late 90's and early 00's, and was part of the Tone Lok Series. Featuring controls for Tone, Drive and Level, the circuit creates a very unique octave fuzz sound, and brings on a Damage Switch (personally, my favorite part of the pedal). The Damage Switch seems to be some kind of Bias control, creating a very "In Your Face" kind of sound at 0%, a gated fuzz at 10%, and a completely broken and gated sound at 100%. It's not exactly a versatile fuzz, but it's also not a one trick pony - let's say it nails superfuzz/octave fuzz types of tone, and can cover that ground really well (mostly considering the Tone knob). It's packed with a lot of fun (: that's for sure. I've tested it with Gated Reverb and Reverse Reverb, the results were pretty noisy - to be honest.. I really liked it!
