The Truth About the Council of Nicaea (325 AD) | Church History
Was Jesus fully God? Emperor Constantine the Great summoned the first ecumenical council in Nicaea (325 AD) to end the schism that caused a disturbance throughout the Roman empire. Arius taught that the Son does not share the same essence (substance/nature) as the Father. Alexandrios and his disciple, Athanasius of Alexandria, however, did not agree to this teaching. They formalized their teaching in the Creed of Nicaea. In this video, we'll explore everything about the First Council of Nicaea.
Excerpt:

that Christ was divine insomuch as he is greater than us but not equal to the Father
in essence.
