According to international standards, a country may do what it can to combat terrorism, rebels and to keep its nation safe. Russia has no justification for getting involved other than the weak justification of having its peacekeepers in the region.

Russia was giving its citizenship to South Ossetia residents aganist Georgian wishes and has long been instigating this conflict throughout the past decade.
