Camel Train by Sue Rothstein: Animals on the Harp (Creighton's Collection)
Camel Train is a simple but effective piece, using enharmonic notes to give a unique sound inspired by the Middle East. The LH plays an ostinato accompaniment while the RH carries the melody. This piece would be perfect for a beginner recital as it is easy to put together but interesting to listen to. 3rd, 4th and 5th octave D♯’s, 3rd, 4th and 5th octave E♭’s, 3rd and 4th octave B♭’s as well as 3rd, 4th and 5th octave A♭’s are required for this piece.
