After their formation in 1986, Toad the Wet Sprocket wrote a large assortment of songs before self recording their debut release Bread & Circus in 1988. Most of the songs from Bread & Circus were written and demoed in 1987, with some songs undergoing minor lyric, instrumental, or vocal changes along the way. A few of the songs for which demos were recorded never made it onto an official release. This demo dates to 1987, and is the earliest known recording of the song "Jam," which made the official release of Pale three years later in 1990. The song was titled “Two” at that time and features alternate (and sometimes unintelligible) lyrics when compared to the album version. This is one of two songs (along with "Chile") from Pale for which a 1987 demo exists. Visit [ Ссылка ] for additional Toad/Glen history!
