What's up guys?! 80's guitar tones are super trendy right now. I guess we're just trying to resuscitate those familiar tones from our childhood. Anyways, I put together a YouTube video showing you how to create classic 80's guitar tones on the Line 6 POD HD500x. Honestly, you don't need to be a tone-weaving-wizard to achieve great 80's tones. You just need a tight, compressed clean tone and some type of modulation effect. Chorus is definitely the most iconic modulation effect, but in the video I'll show you two other Mod effects that are super prevalent in 80's music that will expand your tonal pallet. For achieving 80's dirty-tones, just use an overdriven British amp along with the modulation effects. In the demo, I only use amp models on the 500x, but of course you could ditch the amp models and plug into a 'real' amp.
My signal chain: Guitar - 500x - audio interface - computer. For the video, I'm not using 'real' amps, I'm just using the amp sims on the 500x.

A little about myself:
My name's Jon Eleyet and I like making videos about guitars! Sometimes the videos are about a goofy guitar that I made out of Fruity Pebbles, other times it's a tutorial about guitar tone. In either case, my goal is to make your life better by giving you a laugh or unlocking a new skill.
