Joh Makini is a top Tanzania Bongo Hiphop artist.His witty ryhmes and wordplay have made him into a household name in Tanzania and Africa,He is a renowned rapper known for his skillful use of metaphors, wordplay, and freestyle abilities.

Born as John Simon Mseke in Arusha, Tanzania on August 27th, 1980, he began his career as part of the River Camp group and released his first hit, "Chochote Popote," in 2006. The following year, he released his debut album titled "Zamu Yangu."

He has collaborated with many international artists, including the late AKA, Davido from Nigeria, and Navio. His talent has earned him the Best Hip-Hop Artist award at the Tanzania Music Awards in 2012.
