Eurosonic Noorderslag 2017
They were the surprise of last year's Noorderslag and return this year with quite a different form and reputation. After releasing two EPs and earning a formidable live reputation in 2016, the guys from Amsterdam managed to capture their brand of 90s alternative rock and garage on a full length debut. The self-titled album was produced by Stephen Malkmus (of Pavement fame) and released by Excelsior Recordings. Now the storm that is sweeping through the Netherlands is called Canshaker Pi, obstinate, in full force and merciless.
