This recording is in the original Ukrainian by Sergei Batsuk. There is also a Russian version based on the translation by Ivan Prohanoff, but I like this particular performance by the San Francisco Slavic church choir under the leadership of the gifted conductor Joseph Lokteff. Sometimes, amidst life's difficult trials, we begin to doubt God’s love, believing that He left us to be “devoured by the lions.” But how could He abandon the one for whom He suffered so much & died? He promised: “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you!” John 14:18 And the prophet Micah states about God: “He is not always angry, because He loves to have mercy!” Micah 7:18 What a wonderful hope for all of us, knowing that our GOD LOVES TO HAVE MERCY!
Yes, I know that God loves me,
For He suffered just for me.
In darkest night or light of day
He has promised to be near.
Yes, I know that God loves me!
Yes, I know that God loves me!
For He suffered just for me!
