InterServer is a company I've praised last year for their transparent pricing, good business model and extreme focus on customers. However, everything changed once the marketing nation attacked! In this InterServer review I want to go over what I believe to be the most significant changes and let you know if InterServer is still worth your time or should you choose something else.

PRICING
In my previous InterServer review I've mentioned how their simple plans allow any user to create a website without headache. Well that changed, instead of 1 plan that costs $5 a month and that's it. They now have 3 plans, with different prices. The cheapest one is still $5, but renews at $7 a month. And the more expensive options cost $10 and $20 respectively, but do not increase in price after your initial subscription ends.
In this InterServer review, I've tried to showcase that even with the recent price increase and change in plan structure InterServer is still a cheap web hosting provider when compared to the competition. Especially considering the web hosting power you're getting and all of the extra features.

PERFORMANCE
So at least this is the only part that InterServer didn't touch in a bad way during their 2020 update. Their performance is still spectacular, but a bit more limited than it was in 2019. Since they've split their 1 plan into 3 plans now you'll have to pay more for more user heavy websites. It's no longer a 1 plan fits all situation. As my InterServer review showcases however they're still among the fastest web hosting providers for the price that you're paying. Rivaling SiteGrounds $25 a month plans actually with their simple $5 startup plan.
InterServer has their own data centers and are extremely performance focused, they were always engineers first and salesmen second. Keeping an honest approach. In this InterServer review I've tried to showcase just that. InterServer was able to load a standard website in 1.3s with TTFB (Time To First Byte) being just 0.4seconds. That's an incredible result.
InterServer also offers quite stable web hosting services for WordPress hosting. I've had a WordPress website with them for a while now and in half a year they've only experienced a couple of hours of downtime.

DOWNSIDES
So in my InterServer review I've also tried to showcase some significant downsides of the provider. And in my opinion there is only 1 - their control panel. Overall InterServer isn't the "nicest looking" web hosting provider out there. It's clear that the product was made by engineers, not designers :D But it gets the job done.
If you can get around the clunky designs, you can take advantage of great performance for an extreme cheap web hosting price.

EXTRA FEATURES
It wouldn't be InterServer without some extra features thrown in for free. After all they are looking out for you and your website. You get extra security, the ability to restore your website and speed optimization tools thrown in completely free of charge.
And that's why I'm reviewing providers like InterServer, they're not that well known, but features like these make them stand out.

RECOMMENDATION
In my opinion, InterServer is STILL one of the best web hosting companies out there. I would definitely put it in my top 3 when it comes to shared hosting. The price increase was very slight just $2 a month, but they continue to surprise with great practices, great speed and overall care for the customer.
