The National Heritage Board (NHB) has launched "The Stewards of Singapore’s Intangible Cultural
Heritage Award". It hopes to recognise individuals or groups that practice and promote intangible
cultural heritage, which includes rituals, festive events, food heritage and even traditional
craftsmanship. Mr Yeo Kirk Siang, NHB's director of heritage research and assessment, was in
the studio to explain the purpose of the award and the qualities the NHB is looking for in awardees.
