To answer it in another way, you should not exercise with full stomach because your digestive system will be overloaded and it needs the blood supply which might not be appropriate when you are doing exercises.so, the research supports that doing exercise with empty stomach will improve the insulin sensitivity, which is the good news for diabetic people. It mobilizes the fat and gets more energy burned which is also a good news for the obese people. But, I don’t want people to feel very dizzy and weak when they do exercises. So, it depends upon the body type. Some body types will tolerate exercising say one to one and a half hours without feeling dizzy. They are the ones who can go to the gym with the empty stomach where as there are other little vulnerable people who may feel dizzy and weak while exercises. For them it is good to have a small serving of carbohydrate drink or maybe a piece of banana wherein they can continue the exercise without feeling dizzy or weak. So, my call here is if you are able to do exercises for one to one and a half hours without feeling the negative effects of empty stomach, you can go out and do it.
