* What is Incognito?
Incognito mode, also known as private browsing, is a feature offered by most web browsers that allow you to surf the internet without leaving any records on your device. When you use incognito mode, the browser won’t save the pages you visit, form data, or web searches. This means that anyone else who uses the same device will not be able to see what websites you visited or what you searched for online.
* Incognito is Not Safe! How?
People always think they're being so sneaky when they use private browsing mode. Like - "Oh, I'm in incognito mode now. No one can see what I'm doing online." WRONG! Private browsing mode is not as private as you think it is.
First of all, your IP address is still out there for everyone to see. It's like a giant neon sign pointing to your computer saying, 'Hey, I'm over here! Come and invade my privacy!'
And even if you think you're being super careful about what you download, you could still end up with malicious software or spyware on your computer. Private browsing mode won't protect you from that.
And don't even get me started on parental controls or network monitors. If anyone has administrative access to your computer, they can see everything you do online, even if you're in 'private' mode.
So next time you think you're being all sneaky and anonymous online, just remember: private browsing mode is not a foolproof way to hide your tracks. Be careful out there, folks."
