Corporal Jake Swarbrick is a Section Commander in the 4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (4LANCS), a British Army Reserve Battalion based in the North West of England.
A former Regular Army solider, he joined the Army Reserve to 'have the best of both worlds', as he continues his civilian education and career, whilst enjoying from the camaraderie that military service offers.
As a Section Commander he commands a section of 8 people, taking responsibility for their conduct, training and development, and crucially, leading them on deployments and exercises.
