A mesmerizing performance of "Need It" by Half Moon Run from their excellent show in Valleyfield. I was happy to note that the audio issues that plagued us that evening didn't affect this one too much. It really affected the songs with more bass (well, keyboard technically, but y'know...) the worst, but a few songs turned out all right. This, for the most part, is one of them.
It's a good thing too. Pay attention to Devon Portielje's little guitar solo at the end. He changes it up a bit and just adds to what was always a simple, but beautiful short solo. That Fender Jazzmaster of his can sound very sensual when it needs to. If you're a fan of this song, you should love this version.
Oh, my wife filmed this one too, so it's another Devon-obsessed video. Her videos are easy to recognize. They're filmed from a lower point, shakier, and don't show a split-second of non-Devon footage. :-)
