Revv G3 - The BEST Distortion Pedal Ever? Ola Englund certainly seemed to think so.

In this video I try out the very popular Revv G3 distortion. I'm not normally a big fan of distortion pedals, but this one might be different, and there have been a few distortions I've liked. In this video I try the Revv G3 both as a distortion in front of my Marshall Plexi, and also as a preamp, so that I connect it to the return of the loop in the Marshall. I have to say that at least some of the results were very good.

The gear I most often use.
A Stratocaster of some kind, either an Yngwie Malmsteen Strat, or a custom Strat with a scalloped fretboard. For 7 string stuff I mostly use an Ibanez Universe.
A Marshall 1987x into a Marshall cab.
A Fender Yngwie Malmsteen overdrive, plus a Boss NS-2 noise gate, or a Strymon Sunset.
A Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah, and a delay.
An AKG C-414 mic for the guitar.
For acoustic stuff I use a Taylor 710 short scale thingy.
