Naomi Watts has revealed that she walked down the aisle with her husband Billy Crudup in a rush last year because the pair were 'keen'
The actors opted for a courthouse wedding in New York last June, and the 55-year-old and her partner, also 55, just couldn't wait.
'It just happened that way,' she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon of the no frills ceremony.
'We knew we wanted to do it, it was something we were very keen on doing and quickly. It's an efficient way to do it.'
She added: 'It was really lovely. It was a classic New York day. You ran into all kinds of people, some were dressed to the nines, some were walking quickly in and out.
