Modern agricultural machinery is given full play in harvesting early-season rice in Hunan, Jiangxi and other large rice producing provinces.
China's total grain output consists of three parts -- early rice, summer grain and autumn production. In China, farmers usually have about 20 days harvesting early-season rice and transplanting late rice from mid July to early August.
