A three-day, two-night trip up to the North Georgia mountains at Jacks River Field camping area run by the US Forest Service. The site is in the midst of the famous Cohutta Wilderness Area, the largest such area east of the Mississippi River.
On the trails, you can see wildlife, waterfalls, creek crossings and lots of plant life. The Southfork Trail begins right at the edge of the camping area. Access is also available to the Pinhoti Trail and the Benton MacKaye Trail.
