Today I'm sharing with you an adventure packed day in the Outer Hebrides, on the islands of Barra and Vatersay. We chased a double rainbow, cycled on the beach, explored a cave and found some more abandoned houses. I hope you enjoy!
This video was filmed last October, (my hard drive broke and I had to get it fixed before being able to edit this video). I still have quite a bit of exciting footage of our Scotland adventures that I'd love to share with you soon. So I hope you don't mind traveling back in time with me. ;) I'm gonna alternate between Scotland and current Sussex videos.
After the first coronavirus wave, Scotland had reopened for visitors and most of the Islanders were keen to welcome careful visitors. Still, we made sure to self-isolate before and after making the journey. In the winter, the Outer Hebrides had a terrible coronavirus outbreak and a strict lockdown. There is no hospital on Barra or Vatersay. So if you are thinking about following in our footsteps, please make sure you’re up to date with the current rules, and also with what the island communities want.
