Peter Allen's magnificent, exuberant, one-of-a-kind performance at the Bijou Café in Philadelphia from 1977. This concert special was entitled, No Cover, No Minimum and was taped for the Showtime TV network and was first shown on TV in May 1978. The small, intimate setting captures the very essence of Peter's talent and what he was all about complete with a captive audience. Here, Peter sings his hits and a few lesser known songs, such as his gorgeous "Interesting Changes", the lively "Love Crazy", and the entertaining "Puttin' Out Roots"/"This Sideshow's Leaving Town". This is Peter in his absolute prime:) What an energetic show!!!
I would like to thank Richard T. for this tremendously rare concert video which he recorded from the original broadcast and to Guy G. for also sharing this treasure and whose beginning I kept to make the concert fully complete! Thank you both for allowing me to share this marvelous footage with you all. Let's give them a hand!👏
