Within Antarctica is a strange geologic oddity. There, a towering volcano has been continuously erupting since 1972, contains a lava lake, and ejects crystals up to 6 inches or 15 centimeters in length. Due to their abundance around the summit of Moutn Erebus, they are termed as "Erebus Crystals". This video will describe what exactly erebus crystals are (a variety of feldspar) and how they are deposited on the surface.
