"The record to beat is 111 decibels and tonight we're going to have to beat that."
THAT'S GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS JUDGE MARCO FRIGATTI --PREPARING SOME LONDON DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS TO SET A NEW WORLD RECORD FOR THE LOUDEST GROUP BARK --AND THE LOUDEST SINGLE BARK.
THIRTY CANINE COMPETITORS GATHERED IN FINSBURY PARK ON MONDAY --WITH FRIGATTI ON HAND TO MEASURE THE DECIBEL LEVEL. THE DOGS SMASHED THE WORLD RECORD FOR THE LOUDEST BARK AS THEIR COLLECTIVE CRIES REACHED 115 DECIBELS. THEY BEAT THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 111 DECIBELS SET BY 224 DOGS. A WHITE AMERICAN SHEPARD NAMED DAZ - LED THE LOUDEST SINGLE BARK CONTEST.
[Notes:FRIGATTI]
"We have a Guinness World Record holder, and it's Daz. His reading was 108 decibels. That's exactly how we did altogether. So, congratulations Daz."
FRIGATTI SAYS THE POOCHES HAVE A LOT TO BE PROUD OF.
