Bistec Empanizado (Breaded Steak)
Ingredients:
Thin Steaks (can use your favorite cut; Sirloin, Palomilla, or cubed steak). The thinner the steak, the faster it cooks.
Dredging Station:
Seasoned Flour (seasoned with homemade Adobo and cracked pepper)
2 eggs Scrambled
Panko Breadcrumbs
Instructions:
1. Lightly flour each steak. Then, coat in the egg wash and cover with Panko breadcrumbs.
2. In a non-stick skillet, add 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil and heat on medium-high. (I added 2 tablespoons of clarified butter for the taste).
3. Once the oil is hot, add one to two steak. Keep an eye on the temperature to ensure the steaks do not burn.
4. Let cook for 3 minutes per side or until nice and crispy.
5. Remove from heat and place on a baking sheet with a wire rack and lightly sprinkle some salt on the steak.
6. Serve alone or with your favorite dish and enjoy!
