Following the success of the 2016 Recording Custom Series, Yamaha Drums proudly expands the current series with 2stunning new Birch Snare Drums.

Following the success of the new series, our development team took on the task of bringing this sonic interaction to matching snare drums, resulting in the launch of our two new Birch models: the RBS1480 and RBS1455.

RBS1455(14"x5.5") delivers a wide tuning range and dynamic response expected by the world’s greatest studio drummers.

The RBS1480 is a 14”x 8” shell built of 6-plies North American Birch. With the tone characteristics of Birch and all the extra depth, this snare creates a fat, powerful tone, suitable for vintage sound and a big backbeat.

Both models are equipped with heavy-duty Q-Type strainer, Triple Flange Hoops and will be available in the four Recording Custom Finishes Solid Black (SOB), Classic Walnut (CW), Real Wood (RW) and Surf Green (SFG).
