Sunday School Lesson Praise God With Music Worship Psalm 149-150 Sunday School Standard Lesson Commentary Psalms 149:1-5; Psalms 150
“Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.” The phrase “Praise ye the LORD” is an imperative call to express the superior qualities of the LORD. In Hebrew, “Praise ye the LORD” is Hallelu Yah, pronounced Hallelujah. “Praise” is an outward expression of gratitude to God. It can be done in different ways. Music, verbal expressions, and physical expressions such as lifting of one’s hands are some of the ways God’s people can express their “praise.”
