The ICO update was a huge pivot in an "interesting" direction for Squad, leading to a lot of mixed opinions and feelings on the state of the game, post-patch. For me, the Global Escalation mod is a very high quality, community-created blend between the ICO and pre-ICO gameplay. One that I think incorporates the best of both worlds brilliantly.
