In this short video, Dr Eline H Ploumen (Thoraxcentrum Twente, Medisch Spectrum Twente, Enschede, NL) discusses the 5-year outcomes from the BIO-RESORT trial. The randomized trial compared the ultrathin-strut and very thin-strut biodegradable polymer DES to thin-strut durable polymer DES. At 1-year follow-up, non-inferiority of the two novel DES was showed.
