Many Aboriginal communities have long called for an education system that recognises their knowledge, language, and culture. A program, born of that desire, is now a successful part of the education system in the Northern Territory. The ‘Learning on Country’ program runs in 15 schools across the region and is being hailed as a gamechanger, as a growing number of students graduate high school and move on to full-time employment.
