Here is ski lesson that I use to teach the beginnings of the Carved Turn. It does not define the final "Carving Technique". The definition that I use: The ski is CARVING when the ski is tipped on its edge and the edge is engaged with the snow surface. Force from the skier's weight bends the ski into a "reverse camber" position creating an arc. The ski moves along this arc and that creates the turn. The ski edge should cut thru the snow surface vs slide across it. Thank you for viewing.
