SE Electronics make some really nice microphones and the V7 is also a cracker. They make two versions of the V7; the other one called the V7X.
The V7 is put out as a 'vocal' mic and the V7X as an 'instrumental' mic. They do have a different frequency response so I think there is another video to be made, comparing the two of them. Both are excellent.
The V7 has a less 'boomy' bass end which makes sense for the voice. That's what I really like about it, plus its tailored top end which brings out consonants very nicely. It has a bigger basket for the capsule so there is actually less chance of capturing plosives as I actually show on this video.
