Just like with Sonic The Hedgehog and Miles Tails Prower, Knuckles The Echidna can't breathe under water for a long period of time. However, Knuckles can glide in most of the games which makes it easier to travel through water. The Sonic Drowning Theme music also plays when he is running out of air. It's Game Over if he dies!
